Spooky Scenes around town

Includes pics from a yard haunt that popped up 2 weeks ago just around the corner from where I work. I almost drove off the road on my way home the first night I saw it! The other scenes are from Lester's Farm as they prepare for upcoming Pumpkin Fest 2018.

Admittedly, the music's a little over the top...but I didn't have much to choose from :)

Sunshine before the Gathering Darkness

Well, September 1st was a promising start to the month. Chillier temperatures for sure but the sun was out and there was nary a cloud to be seen. First order of business was walk with cats.

Then we set off to Lester's Farm to get some veggies and what turned out to be some amazing local lamb. While there I saw the first ads for Pumpkin Fest 2018!

Another walk, by myself this time, and more mushrooms!

Ended the day with bar-b-que and that amazing lamb from Lester's!

Harvest Time

Have been to Lester's Farm a few times over the last few weeks (am incredibly impressed with how much longer the produce I buy from them lasts in the fridge). Pumpkin Festival time approaches. It's this Saturday in fact! Nice to see they have been busy getting things prepared. The fun area has been open in the afternoons for the last 2 weeks. I notice the organization they are doing this year looks to alleviate some of the crush of last year. Can't wait!

Lester's Pumpkin Fest Countdown

Pumkin Fest countdown! Lots and lots and lots of pumpkins at Lester's last weekend. And oh my was it chock-o-block full of people! There was a maze and various costumed creatures and huge monster hay bales...I saw a purple cookie monster!

Pumpkin Fest 2016

Well, despite the stresses of our move at least we are back where the temperatures get cooler, orange is everywhere, and leaves change colour. But more significantly there are Halloween events! Yes, public events that anyone/everyone can attend!

Handsome goat with those eyes at Lester's Farm
Although things are all still rather hectic I really hope I can make time for a few of these upcoming seasonal soirees.

But if I only get to one it will definitely be Pumkinfest 2016 at Lester's Farm! We were there in early August with the newest addition to the family.

No...not the goat. A baby boy.

Not our baby boy!  My hubby's cousin and partner just had their first born - super cute! We hope to be honourary Uncle and Auntie.
