Dead Can Dance - new album and tour!

| |
Tickets go on sale today here! It's a European tour. And if I had the money...I'd be booking something in France. Cause that's where I was first introduced to Dead Can Dance by a guy name Seb (Sebastian) on that archaeological dig I volunteered for back in 1990. I got to excavate a medieval burial! Didn't I tell you? Oh yeah, I think that was a post in the before times. Hmmmm....

Anywho, the tour dates are all in May of 2019. Hmmmm...

London is slightly closer...but.

Oh Goddess! Please, please send me some extra cash and a friend who wants to see them as much as I do!

Dead Can Dance have announced their first new album in 6 years. Dionysus is due out November 2 via [PIAS] Recordings. According to a press release, the album consists of “seven movements representing different facets of the Dionysus myth and his cult.” The duo has also announced a European tour for spring 2016; find those dates on their website.

Dionysus follows their 2012 album Anastasis, which was their first new full-length in 16 years. Read about Dead Can Dance’s 1988 song “The Host of Seraphim” in Pitchfork’s list feature, “The Story of Goth in 33 Songs.”

One of my favourite tunes by Dead Can Dance.
