Julia Spiri Challenge - 'Boxes' Optional Twist and Birthday Celebrations

| |
Good Morning Crafty Friends, hope you have had a lovely weekend?! Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Julia Spiri Challenge. But first, we have a surprise, it's our 1st Birthday too and we are celebrating with a freebie giveaway as a 'Thank You' to all our followers!!! We are also running a challenge over on our Facebook page too, using Julia's images....so do pop over!! Now on to this months challenge...
Our theme as always is 'Anything Goes' but we have an optional twist too and this month it's 'Boxes'. For my inspiration, I have used the image Wedding Flowers. Please follow the links at the bottom of the page, for more wonderful images, challenge details and Facebook page etc!!. For my box, I decided to create a tissue box cover and here is what I created:-
My Project
Products Used
Julia Spiri - 'Wedding Flowers' Image
ProMarkers - Lavender, Lilac, Dusky Pink, Blossom, Meadow Green, Lime Zest and Mustard
Crafter's Companion - Watercolour Card
Trimcraft - Dovecraft Back to Basics Pretty in Pink 8x8 Papers
Creata - Purple Mirror Card and Pink Satin Card
Spellbinders - Labels 47 Decorative Elements Dies and Circle Die
JoyCraft - Butterfly Die
Ranger - Stickles Lemon Ice Glitter Glue
From My Stash - Purple Satin Card, Green Glitter Card, Gems, Peel-Offs and of course a box of tissues.

To make this I printed, coloured and carefully cut out 6 images. I then measured the tissue box, scored and cut out purple satin card, both for base (cut 2 pieces (Top)) and lid (Bottom), as shown here...

I glued the edges of the base together to form box shape. I then cut out mirror card and paper x 4, which I layered together round the base sides. I die cut purple satin card and pink card using labels 47, again 4 times.  I placed these on each of the 4 sides, adding the images on top, along with die cut glitter butterflies.

For the lid, I added the same mirror card and paper, then cut out the centre, using circle die. I then glued together the sides to form lid shape, adding more card and paper round the sides, along with smaller cut images and butterflies.

To finish off, I added, glitter peel-offs, stickles glitter glue and gems.

Well thanks again for stopping by, and hope you have enjoyed my post. I hope too, that you will join in with our fab challenge, if you need more inspiration, then hop over to our blog and see all the fabulous creations by my fellow DT girls... why not leave them some love too!!

Looking forward to your next visit, so until then
'Happy Crafting'
